Public Health Alert: Rise in Syphilis Cases
Syphilis cases are increasing in our community, and we want to make sure everyone stays informed and protected. Syphilis is a serious sexually transmitted infection (STI) that can cause long-term health problems if not treated but it is preventable, treatable, and curable. Because symptoms can be mild or go unnoticed, regular testing is key! Especially if you're sexually active with new or multiple partners.
Free and confidential syphilis testing and treatment are available at the Sullivan County Health Department. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are accepted.
