Hand, Foot, & Mouth

ALERT

Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD) is a common illness in kids, especially under age 5. It usually causes fever, sore throat, mouth sores, and a rash on the hands and feet, and while it clears up in about a week, it spreads quickly through coughs, sneezes, and even on toys or surfaces. The best protection? Wash hands often, keep surfaces clean, and avoid close contact when someone’s sick. If you're sick, stay home! There’s no vaccine, but most kids recover with rest, fluids, and a little extra care.
